TransGender San Francisco

TransGender San Francisco is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to serving the educational, social, and recreational needs of the transgender community. This includes includes all transgendered persons, their family and friends, and anyone with a sincere interest in the transgender community. TGSF is also dedicated to educating the general public about transgenderism and promoting a positive image of transgendered persons. The Lou Sullivan Society and TGSF have partnered to bring transmen and transwomen together, providing opportunities to interact and to explore our overlapping goals and interests.

TRANS:THRIVE is a drop-in center run by and for the trans community. Our name stands for Transgender Resource and Neighborhood Space (TRANS), and Transgender Health & Resource Initiative for Vital Empowerment (THRIVE). Our mission is to foster a healthy trans community, empowered by the leadership of its peers. TRANS:THRIVE is the current incarnation of the transgender drop-in center that was originally started by UCSF, and it is now part of the Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center. TRANS:THRIVE offers a range of programming and special events each month.
